THE TEAM
The Global Data & Analytics unit is a multinational team of advanced analytics and artificial intelligence experts as well as data venture managers and UX specialists. Our mission is to create the right conditions for the most promising new technologies and new data-driven business models to develop and, eventually, hatch. The team is responsible for identifying most promising venture ideas, prioritizing them according their impact potential, giving them the space and resources to thrive, always hand-in-hand with business partners, often in collaboration with Academia.

HIRING CONTEXT
In the past two years, the Global Advanced Analytics & AI team has developed a powerful analytics and machine-learning driven application in the field of electric mobility for optimal charging infrastructure planning. The project team is growing to match business demand.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Being part of our team you will …
– Design and develop AI-based solutions from pilot to commercially viable reality
– Take on technical owner role for a high impact data and analytics-driven venture
– Prioritize, plan for and implement new features and models
– Evaluate different techniques, tools and approaches to a variety of machine learning problems
– Train, validate and test machine learning models in order to achieve a best-in-class performance at scale
– drive the deployment of productive solutions together with product development, data engineers and data architects
– communicate and discuss complex analytical and technical concepts to a business audience
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED EXPERTISE:
Qualifications
– Ph.D. or Master degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical discipline
– 3 to 5 years working experience as a data scientist, often at the intersect with software engineering and data engineering
Technical expertise
– Deep knowledge of Python with Pandas
– Very good knowledge of Docker
– Very good knowledge of SQL, Postgres and PostGIS
– Good knowledge of Azure especially App Services (at least AWS)
– Good knowledge of Linux shell commands and scripts
Special skills (can be developed on the job)
– Very good knowledge of OpenStreetMap
– Very good knowledge of Machine Learning esp with Python Scikit Learn
– Experience in analyzing, refactoring and debugging existing large and complex applications
– Experience with socio-economic data
– Interest in charging infrastructure and electric mobility
Other skills
– Real passion for science and problem solving by working on data, paired with a strong motivation to deliver valuable solutions for business needs
– Enjoying collaborating internationally and across cultural borders, willing to undertake international business travel
– Fluent in English; German language skills are seen as a plus
